About Our Elderberries
Elderberry Uses
This is a great low maintenance plant to add to your landscape. The flowers can be harvested in the spring for tea or wine. Otherwise, let them develop into clusters of deep purple fruits that can be used for medicinal purposes. However, to date, the best fruit wine I have ever had is homemade elderberry wine!!!
Elderberry Info
Elderberries are self-pollinators, but you will always get better yields having two or more varieties. They can either be left to grow or it is recommended that you cut them back about 6″ off the ground every year or every other year. These are sold as rooted cuttings from Earth Medicine Farm here in Wisconsin.
