My name is Lisa Rettinger and I’m an Antigo native. I have a B.S. in Agronomy from UW-River Falls and have lived in the Twin Cities area for the last 19 years prior to my November 2015 purchase of Grandview Orchard. My interests in agriculture center around soil science, responsible stewardship of the land, permaculture, and production of food that focuses on flavor and nutrient value as opposed to simply yield. At the center of this is the importance of recognizing the orchard as an ecosystem, not a monoculture. I have made the commitment to manage the orchard holistically because I do not feel right doing it any other way…as challenging as it is. I look forward to providing an environment for people to buy local food, create learning experiences through tours and workshops and hold events that encourage community involvement.
In my spare time, I can be found riding horses, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and generally enjoying the outdoors making use of all four seasons! I also make attempts at landscape photography and I enjoy adventure/active travel.
